Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High School graduate / College preferred
  • Years of Experience: 10 Years minimum experience in the roofing industry
  • Certifications:  30 Hour OSHA Construction card, First Aid/CPR/Bloodborne pathogen training

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, transcription, and other office procedures and terminology
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services (including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction)

Essential Functions

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts raceable
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager in assisting the local sales team
  • Oversee activities and effectiveness directly related to providing excellence in services to include safety, quality, and customer service
  • Manage equipment needs and purchases efficiently
  • Direct and coordinate activities of businesses and/or departments concerned with the production, pricing, sales, and installation of services provided by the departments
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and all other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement
  • Collaborate with Regional VP with regards to reporting and implementation of measures to develop and maintain performance expectations
  • Manage staff, prepare work schedules, and assign specific duties
  • Manage and coordinate department financial and budget activities to maximize investments and increase efficiency
  • Implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, collaborating with Regional VP, organization officials, and staff members, as necessary
  • Determine staffing requirements, assist Regional VP with interviewing, hiring new employees
  • Manage recruitment of sub-contractor and/or employee crews and maintain existing relationships in a professional manner
  • Plan and direct activities such as sales promotions, collaborating with other departments and department heads as required
  • Locate and procure materials and equipment as needed and represent management in purchase negotiations, collaborating with corporate management purchasing agents
  • Monitor businesses and agencies to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed services while staying within budgetary limits
  • Manage resolution of complaints providing negotiation to assist both internal and external customers
  • Maintain, stock, organize local inventories and storage facilities
  • Collaborate with non-service RR departments or businesses, such as advertising or purchasing, metal fabrication
  • Implement, maintain, and oversee local environmental management or sustainability programs addressing issues such as recycling, conservation, or waste management
  • Collaborate with managers and department heads and with regards to internal divisional recognition and/or reward programs

Summary

Rowe Roofing is searching for eager to learn individuals to complete our Construction Management Program. This program will teach you about the roofing industry with experiences including field training, technical training and management shadowing. During the intensive curriculum, you will progress along a career path towards Project Management, Estimating, Superintendent or similar positions.

      • Phase 1: experience out in the field, you’ll learn roofing from the ground up
      • Phase 2: experience in the office setting, you’ll learn submittal, pre-construction and the technical aspects of roofing
      • Phase 3: management shadowing and transition into an actual role

      The program is designed to lead into a position in Project Management, Estimating, Superintendent or similar roles.

      Summary

      This position is within the Premier Accounts department and is a key role in helping coordinate customer requests (Service and Re-Roof requests) with service departments or sales. The Account Manager is responsible for managing the work order process from initial contact from customer to invoicing and accounts receivable.

      • Work with Aging and Collection
      • Notify customer of estimated time of arrival
      • Track work order creation vs estimated time of arrival, analysis of daily work orders that do not have ETA and work through proper management structures to achieve missing information
      • Communication with Customers, Team Members and Other Rowe Departments
      • Occasional off hour responsibilities (Nights and Weekends) to cover incoming leak request

      Essential Functions

      • Thoroughly review specs, drawings, details, and other docs
      • Submit all necessary RFIs and clarifications to GC/customer
      • Evaluate the intent of each project for potential value engineering or betterments and determine best way to handle with GC/customer to meet their needs
      • Work closely with the operations team for proper input on production, equipment, and logistics
      • Obtain all necessary material and subcontractor quotes
      • Produce accurate take off and pricing based on bid documents and project intent
      • Produce complete proposal that outlines specific scope of work and inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, and other parameters that need to be included
      • Work with GC/customer as much as possible and always maintain open line of communication while building customer relationships
      • Conduct scope reviews and meet with GC/customer for each project
      • Review and assist in negotiating contract for each job to ensure scope of work and other requirements are correct and line up with how the project was estimated
      • Set up and hand off project to the operations and submittal teams and review completed submittals to ensure the scope and other aspects are correct and appropriate

      • Perform Daily Documentation proof of manufacturer requirements met and Safety inspections along OSHA/ RR requirements
      • Act as liaison between the GC/Customer and Subcontract/ Employees for Daily work including safety documentation, logistics, and production plan
      • Ensure that proper safety and equipment is on the job and used in the proper manner
      • Supervise and support crew every day regarding safety, quality, and labor production
      • Monitor and maintain job site cleanliness and daily housekeeping
      • Plan ahead and monitor needs daily to avoid running out of materials
      • Make sure on-site equipment is monitored and maintained, such as oil changes on kettle motors, belts on cutters, etc.
      • Notify toolroom and garage of any broken or defective equipment before returning
      • Communicate with manager, everyday regarding job progress, field problems, technical questions, etc.
      • Prepare and submit daily job reports, photos, and time sheets, as directed by Department Head or PM
      • Responsible for overall quality control of each job, including checking for water tightness, mops left on roof, and ensuring job site is complete and has been cleaned up properly

      • Supervise and support crew everyday regarding safety, quality, and labor production
      • Monitor and maintain job site cleanliness and daily housekeeping
      • Plan ahead and monitor needs daily to avoid running out of materials
      • Receive manufacturer training
      • Make sure on-site equipment is monitored and maintained, such as oil changes on kettle motors, belts on cutters, etc.
      • Notify toolroom and garage of any broken or defective equipment before returning

        Summary

        Plan, organize, and oversees the daily activities, including designating material staging areas, overseeing, and training individuals in roofing system installations, and crew personnel management scheduling and issues. The Superintendent will be responsible for installing roofing system in the safest, highest quality and most cost-effective manner.

        • Monitor and maintain job site cleanliness and daily housekeeping
        • Plan ahead and monitor needs daily to avoid running out of materials
        • Receive manufacturer training
        • Make sure on-site equipment is monitored and maintained, such as oil changes on kettle motors, belts on cutters, etc.
        • Notify toolroom and garage of any broken or defective equipment before returning
        • Communicate with manager, everyday regarding job progress, field problems, technical questions, etc.

        Minimum Qualifications

        • Minimum 2 years hands on experience in at least 3 of the following systems:
        • Copper and/or zinc standing seam
