Metal Roofing

Residential metal roofing is generally made of steel, aluminum, or copper. Rolls of 24- or 26-gauge steel sheets are given a metallic coating to prevent rust, followed by a baked-on paint finish. Aluminum sheets don’t require the metallic coating but do get painted. Copper, is neither coated nor painted, because it weathers without corroding. It is sometimes used for special features, such as the roof of a prominent bay window, gutters, and downspouts.

Cedar Shake Roofing

If you are looking for a roofing system that will not only protect your home from the elements but also provide a natural look, Wood Shake shingles are the perfect compliment. Wood Shake roofing shingles provide an organic look to your home and they are commonly made out of cedar, red wood or cypress.

Slate Roofing

Slate roofing tile has a long and storied history, and is generally known as one of the highest quality, longest lasting roofing materials on the market. Slate roofing tiles are cut from metamorphic rock which is highly durable, making it a perfect roofing material to be split in one direction into sheets of various thicknesses. It is cut and trimmed mostly by hand labor into the required sizes and thicknesses. A slate roof is really a custom-made job and its use gives a character to a building unlike that of any other type roofing.

Clay Tile

Clay tile roofing provides great aesthetics for homes with a southwestern or Spanish Mission design as well as some modern design, and comes in a variety of colors. Tile roofing has an exceptionally long life cycle – and is expected to have a greater lifespan than that of the material on which the roofing rests. Tile does not rot or burn, and it cannot be harmed by insects. It requires little maintenance, and comes in a variety of colors, types, styles and brands. The clay tiles themselves are fragile, so walking on them can be difficult. Although they are fragile to weight, they are extremely resistent to the elements including harmful UV rays.

Single-Ply Commercial Roofing

Single-ply membranes are generally categorized as either thermoplastic or thermoset. Thermoplastic materials can be repeatedly softened when heated and hardened when cooled. Thermoset materials solidify, or “set,” irreversibly after heating. Single ply membranes commonly are referred to by their chemical acronyms, such as ethylene propylene diene terpolymer (EPDM).

Roof Coating

A roof coating is a monolithic, fully adhered, fluid applied roofing membrane. It has elastic properties that allows it to stretch and return to their original shape without damage.

Modified Bitumen Roofing

This type of low slope roofing material is referred to as modified bitumen due to its material makeup which consists of modifiers that are added to standard roofing asphalt to replace plasticizers removed during the distillation process. Bitumen is reinforced with fiberglass or polyester fiber matting in order to increase durability and strength.
